Another beauty that left us right after getting in. This 2006 MINI Cooper S JCW GP only has 65.000 km's on the odometer and is the perfect collector's item. It was a pleasure to have number #0896 out of only 2,000 cars in our showroom but now the new owner will enjoy this truely unique MINI. They even decided to build a GP2 and GP3 model after the great success of this nimble hot hatch.

Hot hatch specials have always been a great choice since they're the perfect mix between daily usability and a sporty driving sensation. Whether it is for a night out, a weekend abroad or a trackday, this MINI Cooper S Works GP feels at home at any occasion. MINI binned the rear seats, contributing to a 50kg weight loss, which is significant in such a small car. The final kerb weight is just 1,090kg, good for a 0-100km/h sprint in just 6.5 seconds with the spicy 1.6 litre supercharged four-cylinder engine. 218 horses are pushing this car but honestly, it feels like way more due to the low weight and great suspension setup. The GP sits 10mm lower than a contemporary Cooper S and the suspension is stiffer. Together with the limited-slip differential on the front axle, this provides the ultimate go-kart feeling.

And it's not all about the looks. The Thunder Blue paintjob, red mirrors, four-spoke wheels and unique aerodynamics make this car look as fast as it is. The exhaust pops and crackles and the supercharger adds a cool sound to the engine. All these lovely noises are real, not manufactured-in fake exhaust notes as we find in most modern cars.
