The story behind the E46 M3 CSL!

 The M3 CSL, or Coupe Sport Leichtbau, is the ultimate E46 ever made, according to BMW M. With its 3.2 litre inline 6 engine this sports saloon passes you by on the autobahn at a speed of 250 kmph. The engine produces 355 delightful horsepowers and runs from 0-100 in 4.9 seconds. This is of course due to the powerful BMW M engine under the hood but don't underestimate the 'Leichtbau' part of the CSL. The CSL weighs 1,385 kg, this is 110 kg less than the original E46 M3. Thanks to the sports seats and various carbon parts, this car has undergone a serious weight loss that benefits its performance.

This 2004 version has 38,000 kilometres on the odometer and is in perfect condition. Released in Black Sapphire Metallic with alcantara and textile interior, it looks very sporty and aggressive at the same time. This coupe from the early 2000s is equipped with several options such as the headlight washer system, automatic air conditioning and xenon lights.

To show the difference with the original E46 M3 I like to give the example of the Nurburgring where the standard M3 set a time of 8:22 and the CSL did it in 7:50.

We can say for sure that this is one of the most unique BMW's that will ever be made and therefore a true future classic.

Het verhaal achter de E46 M3 CSL!

De M3 CSL oftewel de Coupe Sport Leichtbau, is volgens BMW M de ultieme E46 ooit gemaakt. Met zijn 3.2 liter 6 in lijn motor komt deze sportsaloon jou voorbij op de autobhan tegen een snelheid van 250 kmph. De motor produceert 355 heerlijke pk's en loopt van 0-100 in 4,9 seconden. Dit is natuurlijk door de krachtige BMW M motor onder de kap maar onderschat natuurlijk niet het 'Leichtbau' gedeelte van de CSL. De CSL weegt 1,385 kg, dit is 110 kg minder dan de originele E46 M3. Aan de hand van de sportstoelen en de verschillende carbon onderdelen heeft deze wagen een serieus gewichtsverlies ondergaan dat ten voordelen doet van zijn prestaties.

Deze versie uit bouwjaar 2004 heeft 38.000 kilometers op de teller en is in perfecte staat. Uitgebracht in het Black Sapphire Metallic met alcantara en stoffen interieur ziet hij er erg sportief agressief uit. Deze coupé van begin jaren 2000 is voorzien van enkele opties zoals bijvoorbeeld het headlight washer system, automatic air conditioning en xenon lampen.

Om het verschil met de originele E46 M3 nogmaals aan te tonen geef ik graag het voorbeeld van de Nurburgring waar de standaard M3 een tijd neerzette van 8:22 en de CSL het in 7:50 deed.

We kunnen zelf zeggen dat dit een van de meest unieke BMW's is die er ooit zal gemaakt worden en daarom ook een echte future classic.
